Learn

Learning.  Wrestling. Growing Together.

At GPC we value the process of learning together.

We are enlivened in our faith and in our love for one another when we study, pray, disagree and laugh together.  Our learning communities, which meet Sunday morning and throughout the week, reflect the diversity of our learning styles and preferences-from traditional Bible study to rousing discussion or quiet meditation.  We welcome and learn from each other's unique experience and perspective.  What we share is a desire to discover God at the intersection of our lives, our faith, and the world around us.  So come and learn with us, talk with us, wrestle and grow with us.

JAM 56

JAM 5/6 - Jesus and Me, 5th and 6th Graders
Once a month ,during the school year, 5th and 6th graders get together to connect and build friendships that reach beyond Sunday mornings. We have a great time being cool at Hippie Night, being sly during Light in the Darkness and being all-out, disgustingly gross at MESSY GAME NIGHT.  JAM 5/6 is a place to bring friends, hang out, have fun, and grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.  TOTAL FUN AND TOTAL JESUS!

What will my child do in Preschool?

Active ImageDepending on the program your child is enrolled in, he or she will be with us for different spans of time.  We promise to encourage and care for your child during the time  you entrust to us.

A typical day will include activities and experiences that will nurture the individual child's social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spritual development.  Arts and crafts, stories, singing, water play, cooking, indoor and outdoor games are incorporated into the children's learning.  Our school day offers times of structured activity, where teacher direction is utilized, as well as unstructured activites, where the teacher's role is to facilitate the interest of the child or children.  This combination allows for the child to both learn the basic skills and also explore and express their own skills and talents.

Summer has ended and we are gearing up for the beginning of a new school year.  The teachers have great plans and are preparing and setting up the classrooms for the students.  On Friday, September the 4th, we invite all parents and students to come to meet your teachers and acquaint yourselves with the classrooms.  Parents and students will be in the classrooms from 10:00-10:30, after which there will be an orientation meeting in the gym.  Our preschool is closed during teacher preparation days.  Our fall program will open the day after Labor Day.

How do I get my child enrolled?
The great news is our school has open enrollment, meaning that we enroll students throughout the year, of course the child needs to be ready for preschool.  Once you  have determined that your child is ready, then the process is as simple as giving us a call to set up a time to meet and get a tour of our  school.

After you have had opportunity to visit our school and see it  "in action" and talk with the staff we  will begin the process by  giving  you our Registration Packet. Once you have filled out the required information , you can return it to GPC Preschool with the  necessary payments.

In order for your child to begin learning and growing with us, we must have a complete registration packet including a Physician's Report, Child's Preadmission health History, Consent for Medical treatment, Identification and Emergency Information,  Admission Agreement and Emergency kit.
